About Jeff Yoo

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to helping individuals and couples find clarity, healing, and renewed connection through evidence-based and faith-informed care. My approach integrates proven therapeutic methods with a Christian worldview for those who desire both psychological insight and spiritual growth.

Education & Training

I hold a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hope International University, where I trained in evidence-based treatment for individuals, couples, and families. I also earned Master of Divinity and Master of Theology degrees from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, which continue to shape the compassionate, biblically grounded perspective I bring to therapy.

My specialized clinical training includes:

  • Certified ADHD Therapist – Helping adults strengthen executive function, improve focus, and create sustainable systems for daily life.
  • Relational Life Therapy (RLT) – Advanced training in Terry Real's approach to couples therapy, centered on emotional intimacy and healthy relational balance.

Professional Experience

I provide telehealth and online therapy across California and Washington.

  • Therapist, Rula – Online therapy platform offering ongoing care for adults and couples.
  • Therapist, Moment of Clarity – Individual and group therapy focused on ADHD, anxiety, depression, and trauma recovery.
  • Previous experience at Lighthouse Treatment Center and Hidden Strength Behavioral Health, serving clients in residential and outpatient programs.

Before entering the mental health field, I served as a pastor and college ministry leader, guiding youth and families through seasons of personal and spiritual growth. That ministry experience informs my integrated approach to therapy today.

Areas of Focus

  • ADHD in Adults – Executive function coaching, organization systems, and emotional regulation.
  • Anxiety & Depression – Evidence-based treatment that restores peace, focus, and resilience.
  • Relationship Challenges – Communication skills, conflict resolution, and rebuilding trust.
  • Faith-Integrated Therapy – Optional inclusion of prayer, biblical reflection, or spiritual exploration for clients seeking a Christian counseling perspective.

Languages & Cultural Competency

I offer sessions in both English and Korean (한국어) and understand the cultural dynamics and generational patterns often present in Korean-American and bicultural families. Therapy honors each client's cultural and spiritual background.

My Approach

I believe therapy should be collaborative, compassionate, and practical. Sessions combine skill-building with deeper exploration of thought, emotion, and faith. For individuals, we'll develop concrete tools that align with your personality and values. For couples, I draw on Relational Life Therapy to move beyond communication issues and address the root patterns that prevent connection. The goal is to help you feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow—in both emotional and spiritual wholeness.
